couple of noob q's
1- When I go into pvp mode I can see all of the available skills that require unlocking, however with my pve char I've been to the trainers located at http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Trainer...tfall_Campaign but for example they only have the first 4 fire elemental skills, all of the other ones aren't there?
2- Is there any benefit from having a pve char reached all the way to lvl 20 to pvp vs a straight out pvp character? 3- There are a million items people are selling so I haven't quite understood exactly what things are worth yet. Have for eg purple items that I have been getting (my pve guy is just 16) worth selling? or is all the good stuff from later on with ending missions or something? cheers. |

1. Not quite sure I understand you there... but different trainers have different skills and the campaign makes a difference... so even if you unlock a skill, you have to go to a trainer of the same campaign (Proph, Factions, NF) to purchase the skill
2. Creating a lv.20 PvE character means that he can access both PvE and PvP modes, while a PvP character is limited to PvP areas. However, other than that, there is absolutely no advantage in having a PvE character lv.20 (unless you like to own people in FoW armor, just to look good forget I said that <_<) 3. Generally... if you're not lv.20 and have purple items they're probably not that great... I suggest selling them to the merchant, unless you think something has some spiffy attributes. Most of the time people look for 'perfect' items, and don't want to waste time with things that are not 'perfect'. Most rare weapons have 'mods' and these generally give you more enregy, health, armor, damage, etc... and if it's not the 'max' it can be, then people generally don't want it for obvious reasons. However, as I said before, if you think something's pretty spiffy, look into it, otherwise -> merchant. |

1 - Skill Trainers in PvE only carry a selection of skills, not all of them, as well as any skills that have been unlocked previously.
2 - Practically none whatsoever. Except Assassin and Warrior by the tiniest of margins - they get weapons that do different damage types from standard PvP weapons (Slashing daggers, blunt swords etc.). Not much of a biggie though. 3 - Purple weapons are near enough worthless, unless it's an incredibly rare skin. As you're level 16, it is unlikely you've found anything of value - just sell it to the merchant or give it to your heroes. There's a price check section here on guru, too. |

2) No. PvP characters are identical, but more importantly, free to make. Equivalent PvE character can cost you 100k or more to equip.
3) Only perfect, rare-skinned, gold items are worth selling. And unless you have too much money, nothing is worth buying, with exception of weapon mods or insignias. |

EDIT: But, yes, it -is- in fact cheaper to make a PvP character time-wise. Although you'll need to spend a lot of time unlocking essential runes (i.e. Go for Sup Vigor first). It's hard to unlock runes when you don't have balthazar faction in the first place, therefore making the process more difficult for obvious reasons... lack of runes equates to a less than perfect character. 10k? Ok... Sup Vigor, perfect Fortitude and Enchanting upgrades, a whole slew of +10 AL vs X shields.. well, perfect weapons in general, multiple armour and rune configurations, every skill bought, every elite capped... For 10k? Just getting a perfect sword for your caster (Crippling, 10% HSR or +5 energy, +30 health) would cost at least 15k, assuming a good deal on the fortitude grip.
For serious PvP, PvP characters own the sh*t out of poor PvE characters. You'd need to be rather wealthy to get everything you could need for PvP (though... monking with a Tormented shield looks fun ) |

PvP characters are boring looking!
You can't get a butt like this outside of PvE. |

You won't be able to get skills that aren't core skills or nightfall skills, for example, meteor shower is a prophecies skill. Fireball being a core skill, it's available to you but you have to either unlock it or speak to a trainer who has it. To know what skills are available to you www.guildwiki.org is your friend.

The farther you get into the game, the more skills skill trainers will offer.
PvP character can use ANY skills that you have unlocked in PvE or purchased with faction in their primary and secondary professions. The only purple items you could find on istan that would be worth anything are tribal axes as far as i know. And they are very valuable... |
